Wentworth Military Academy and Junior College is a school that is built on tradition, but it is operated on the principle that our dynamic society requires leaders who are capable of making the right decisions at the right times based on solid values. Training young minds and bodies is a tremendous responsibility, and Wentworth has undertaken the task with the philosophy that each cadet is an individual who has his or her own needs, goals, and dreams. The academic program includes junior high school, high school and a two-year junior college. The entire program is focused on a college preparatory approach that prepares, encourages, and assists each cadet to achieve placement in the college or university of his or her choice.

Military training with its preciseness, is integrated into the daily lives of the cadets. The focus of this program is to teach leadership and citizenship in a very practical way. Many skills and good habits such as time management, teamwork, and self-discipline are learned in this area and are just as applicable in civilian life as in the military. For those interested in the military, the junior college offers a unique program which allows a student to achieve a commission in the US Army in only two years through ROTC.

The Wentworth belief is that a sound body is important and excellent athletic facilities are available to each cadet. Cadets may participate in a variety of athletic endeavors, which may be on a varsity, intramural or recreational level. Character development that stresses the importance of courage, honor, and selfless service is included in order to produce well-rounded young men and women with strong values.

Wentworth Military Academy accepts male students in grades 7 through junior college and female students in grades 10 through junior college. Wentworth has open enrollment for qualifying students throughout the academic school year and accepts students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. All are entitled the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to the cadets at Wentworth.
