| Elk Mountain Academy is a family model, 12-Step based program with an academically accredited school on 90 acres. Enrollment is limited to 25 male students. Elk Mountain Academy offers a drug and alcohol free environment that allows students to experience having fun while being clean and sober. Recreational activities include snowboarding, boating, wakeboarding, off-campus dinner and movies, camping, horseback trips and much more. Students live in one of three houses supervised by a houseparent. Chores and community service are performed to teach responsibility. Meals, chores, and experiencing outdoor activities are shared as a family. EMA students benefit from individual and group counseling. The 12 steps of AA/NA are encouraged for addictive personalities. As EMA is a small school, each student can be assisted with their individual needs. | |
