George School is a Friends (Quaker) college preparatory boarding and day school for boys and girls in grades 9 through 12. George School was founded in 1893 by members of the Religious Society of Friends. Academics: Rigorous. Classes are challenging with three levels of difficulty in most subjects, and four levels in mathematics. The average class size is fourteen students. Special Programs: Exceptional. The International Baccalaureate program is offered to talented and motivated juniors and seniors. The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is offered to international students to help them to adapt to an English-speaking system of education.
