| Program Description | |
| Main Place Youth, KS is a non profit group home for girls between the ages of twelve and eighteen. At Main Place Youth, we teach alternative behaviors and help our girls to develop a solid value system. This enables many to realize academic and social successes needed later in life. Main Place Youth uses the nationally recognized Teaching Family Model program. Through the implementation of this program, our girls learn many lifelong skills. Emphasis is on social skills, spiritual guidance, appropriate decision-making, as well as independent and community living skills. These skills are taught through role-playing and also by examples set by our staff. The goal for our girls when they leave Main Place Youth is for them to be able to return to their homes or enter into independent living. | |
