| The Marine Military Academy is unique among all military secondary institutions. Its very foundation was framed from the desire to emulate those tried and true Marine traditions and values that have earned the respect and gratitude of our great nation. In a world where many prefer to take shortcuts and offer less than their personal best effort, the Marine Military Academy challenges each cadet to strive for excellence and his highest potential. The goals for personal excellence extend through academics, athletics/physical activities, moral and other personal endeavors. Each young man who enters the Marine Military Academy is a unique individual with a variety of strengths and weaknesses. It is the responsibility of our entire staff to discover methods and seek opportunities to provide the skills and tools necessary to assist each young cadet who walks through our gates at the Marine Military Academy. When a cadet graduates, we want him to have the academic foundation, morality, self-confidence, self-discipline and leadership traits that will guide him successfully throughout the remainder of his life. Although excellent academic instruction and college preparation are the Academy's objectives, it is the military structure and discipline that makes cadets successful and sets MMA apart from other school environments The Marine Military Academy Academic Department provides all cadets with the necessary academic and intellectual tools to succeed in college. The faculty and staff develop a cadet with a perspective of the world that enables him to be an ambassador of compassion, selflessness and goodwill. With this balanced perspective, cadets can be future community leaders and productive citizens. The faculty and staff are dedicated to excellence in all that they do and strive to create the school of choice within the military academy community. | |
