Oakdale Christian High School, KY coeducational, ages 12-19, is one of courage, perseverance and lots of other impressive words. It was founded in 1921 as a mission school of the Free Methodist Church. Attending Oakdale back then was "roughing it," with few modern conveniences. There wasn't even a road to the school! Oakdale then mostly served young people in the isolated mountains of eastern Kentucky who had no other local school. Today Oakdale is a school for teenagers from across the U.S., who come for many good reasons, and for a great experience.
