Program Description
The Hurricane Island Outward Bound School (HIOBS) was founded in Maine 38 years ago. It has since grown to be the largest and most diverse Outward Bound school in the world, serving almost 10,000 students per year. Wilderness Expeditions are run year-round for individuals and groups in Maine, Maryland and the Florida Keys. Activities include sailing, sea-kayaking, backpacking, canoeing and rock-climbing, dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, ice-climbing and snow-shoeing.
