Program Description
Established in 1983, Penrith Farms offers a unique and innovative program designed to assist troubled and challenged young adults in the acquisition of essential life skills. Our residents learn the importance of personal accountability, effective communication, and appropriate coping skills while living in, and contributing to, a therapeutic, family-based farm community. Our unique, highly effective, experiential program puts an emphasis on developing a strong sense of self-worth, positive work ethics, and essential communication skills. Qualified clients have the opportunity to become productive, self-motivated, and responsible adults in a serene and supportive environment. At Penrith, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer dynamic psychotherapy coupled with a number of vocational, educational, and recreational options. Penrith Farms is nestled in the scenic Scotia Valley of Northeastern Washington State. The 320-acre farm provides a safe and challenging therapeutic environment where young adults are presented with a variety of experiences and opportunities that will inspire them to make the transition to responsible adulthood.
