Program Description
Solebury School provides a challenging college preparatory curriculum that encourages students to explore and develop their individual skills and talents--academically, artistically, and athletically--in a diverse educational community marked by mutual respect between teachers and students. It is our aim to help students gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in an increasingly interdependent world while continuing their educational pursuits and participating responsibly in their own communities. Solebury School is a coed, boarding and day school, offering grades 7-12 with one postgraduate year available. Students may board beginning in 9th grade. Our small size, the individual attention we give our students and the deep mutual respect between faculty and students are the corner stones of our success. We think Solebury's been a too well kept secret. We want people to wake up and say, 'I didn't know this great school was out there'...and then come for a visit. Enrollment: 208 students. Half are boys and half are girls. Twelve percent are international. Nearly 13% are students of color. Forty-three percent receive financial aid. Faculty-Student Ratio: 1 to 6 Average Class Size: 13 students
