The Storm King School, a private, college preparatory high school located just 50 miles north of New York City in the scenic Hudson Valley. Founded in 1867 by the Reverend Louis P. Ledoux, The Storm King School has always sought to provide a caring and nurturing environment in which all students can grow and develop. There are approximately 141 students currently enrolled at Storm King, 114 boarders and 27 day students. The school is located on 65 acres of land atop Storm King Mountain offering a magnificent view and serene setting. Adjoining the campus is the 3,600-acre Black Rock Forest where Storm King students learn and recreate. The proximity of New York City and the many local sights offer our students a wide variety of interests and activities. The Storm King School is chartered by the New York State Board of Regents and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a member of the Cum Laude Society, the National Honor Society, the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools and the College Board. | |
